Free (2020)
Free is a site specific dance film, that reflects on the meaning of freedom, amidst the health and safety regulations through the 2020 Global Pandemic. This work was commissioned by Sampradaya Dance Creations for DanceScapes in 2020 and filmed at Jackdarling Park, Mississauga ON.

“Freedom is in nature
In the waves of flowing water
in an autumn leaf falling off a tree
in the branches swaying in a cool breeze
Freedom is in passion,
in innovation and imagination
And in the courage to dream
But in these confined moments of space and time,
where freedom may seem limited,
the world closes in with chaos, fear, pain
I realize,
That My Freedom is in a breath
In the silence, and peace of solitude
I realize,
My freedom is through my mind, in my soul,
...in me
And with that knowledge, I am free”
